The "Eliminator" is a radio-based solution that overcomes the problems inherent in existing preemption systems. In addition to preempting traffic signals in favor of emergency vehicles, it also gives collision avoidance warnings up to 3/4 mile before the vehicle collides with other similarly equipped emergency vehicles.
